Palacio de Verano de Tipu Sultan

El fuerte, hoy en ruinas, tiene mucha fama como el Palacio de Verano de Tipu Sultan que en realidad era un fuerte de lodo, construido por Kempe Gowda en el temprano 16º siglo. El estado real de Mysore tenía varios reyes, por último tenían poder Hyder Ali y su hijo Tipu Sultan. Desafortunadamente el fuerte fue destruido por las constantes batallas entre el valiente Tipu Sultan y los ingleses. Tipu Sultan, murió luchando en una batalla defendiendo este mismo fuerte, que también fue quemado. Aunque era ampliado y reconstruido muchas veces, aparte del templo anciano de Ganesh, construido por Kempe Gowda, no queda nada.
