El Madan Mohan Bari

Description:
Es un anciano templo de cúpula dorada de más de un siglo es una de las principales atracciones de Coochbehar. Está en la orilla norteña de Bairagi Dighi, un enorme lago situado en medio del pueblo Coochbehar. Construido en 1889 por Maharaja Nripendra Narayan, la estructura de este templo es del estilo de arquitectura hindú de Charchala. Dentro del templo hay un ídolo de Madan Mohan, una encarnación del Señor Krishna y la deidad real. El ídolo hecho de oro y ashtadhaatu, una aleación de ocho metales, es casí de 200-años. Las otras deidades incluyen Ma Kali, Ma Tara y Ma Bhavani.
