Uno de los más raros museos y también el mejor del mundo, el museo Calico de textiles, fue inaugurado por el Primer Ministro de aquel entonces, Jawaharlal Nehru, en 1948. Es el mejor museo de textiles y tiene la mejor colección de textiles indios de todas las regiones de la India. Las exhibiciones incluyen una gran gama de shamianas bordadas, tapices, vestidos, saris y bordados. Hay exhibiciones de la época histórica y la impresión que el arte y artesanía tenía en dicha época es muy obvia. Se dejan al espectador encantado los distintos tipos y varios diseños de textiles que pertenecen del siglo 12 y aún antes.
