El Templo Palani Murugan

El templo en Palani es una de las seis residencias del Señor Subramuchosa o Murugan. Dedicado al Sri Dandayuthapani, el templo está construido arriba de una colina que tiene altura de 140metros y se puede llegar allí o bien usando las escaleras o el cabestrante eléctricamente operado. Durante los festivales de Panguni Uthiram (marzo-abril) y Adi Krithikai (julio-agosto) los bailadores del Kavadi bailan y andan desde lejos y cerca cuando acuden al templo en cientos, a menudo en un estado de trance. Está situado a unos 119 km desde Madurai.
