Se puede gozar con una visita al semi-ruinado fuerte de Janjira, que sirve como el perfecto trasfondo para fotos. Murud es una tranquila costa llena de palmeras con un fuerte que tiene tres siglos, un maravilloso ejemplo de arquitectura. Era especialmente construido por Shivaji para proteger de los enemigos. Se puede llegar al fuerte al andar por el mar durante la marea baja. El fuerte tiene su propio sistema de agua, donde se puede obtener agua potable por un pozo en el fuerte.
