Description:
Mattupetty (13 km desde Munnar), situado a una altura de 1700 m, tiene mucha fama por su altamente especializado finca lechera, el proyecto indo-suiza de ganado. Más de 100 variedades de ganado de alta producción se crían aquí.
El lago y dique Mattupetty, a una poca distancia desde esta finca, es un sitio muy bonito para picnic. Las grandes plantaciones de té Kundala y el Lago Kundala son las otras atracciones en la vecindad.
Nyayamakad (10 km from Munnar) tiene fama por sus fabulosas cataratas. El National Park Rajamala y Eravikulam (a 15 km desde Munnar), son el único hábitat natural del raro Nilgiri Tahr. Los otros sitios escénicos en la vecindad son las Power House Cataratas y Chithirapuram.
