Udaipur fue olvidado cuando los reyes Manikya mudaron su capital de Udaipur a Agartala en el siglo 19. Sin embargo tiene algunos sitios turísticos muy importantes del estado. Udaipur tiene un templo Jagannath y un estanque al lado. Se dice que el ídolo del templo de Jagannath en Puri fue llevado de este mismo templo.
