Fuerte Thalasseri

Description:
A casi 20 kms desde Kannur, justo en la playa Thelichery, está el majestuoso fuerte de Thalassery. Construido en 1708 A.D. en el precipicio rocoso era el primer asentamiento del East India Company de los ingleses en la costa oeste. Luego el fuerte se convirtió en el centro militar de los ingleses y ya se ha transformado en un monumento histórico. Tiene una magnífica entrada y un faro y está rodeado por un cementerio Brennen, la iglesia St.Rosario y la residencia del sub-magistrado.
