Este lago de forma de cuadro sobre una montaña rodeado por mucha vegetación es un lugar sagrado para los hindúes, los sikhs y los budistas también. Según una leyenda, el gran predicador Padmasambhava utilizó sus poderes para volar desde este sitio directamente a Tibet. Las aguas en el Lago Rewalsar por eso es preciosa y hay mucha gente que viene aquí para conseguir las bendiciones y al mismo tiempo dar honor a las aguas del lago.
