El famoso templo Sree Ayyappa en Sabarimala y las iluminaciones de Makara Joythi en el templo son visibles desde aquí. Ya que forma parte de la restringida zona de selva, se tiene que solicitar permiso especial para visitar a Pullumedu del Wiildlife Preservation Officer, en Thekkady o bien el The Range Officer de Vallakkadavu.
