Se puede tener una visión del rico histórico pasado de Kozhikode en el Museo Pazhassiraja, qu está ubicado en la Colina Este, a 5 km desde la ciudad. Está bajo la dirección del State Archeological Departement. El museo tiene una grande colección que comprende ancianas pinturas murales, bronces antiguas, viejas monedas, modelos de templos gallerías etc., que representan la rica herencia cultural de esta región. Las exhibiciones de los megalítos (grandes prehistóricos monumentos) son muy interesantes. Este museo está abierto al público desde las 10 am hasta las 12.30 pm y desde 2.30 pm a 5 pm cada día excepto los lunes y vacaciones públicas.
