En el centro de la ciudad de Jodhpur, está el fuerte de Meherangarh que tiene altura de 125 mtrs y está extendida por 5 km. Cuad. Este invencible fuerte tiene 4 puertas. El Jay pol, el Fateh pol y el Loha pol. Dentro del fuerte hay magníficos palacios con maravillosamente tallados paneles y ventanas de celosía. Están allí el Moti mahal, el Sheesh mahal, el Phool mahal, el Sileh khana y el Daulat khana. Estos tienen colecciones de palanquines, howdas de elefante, pinturas miniaturas, instrumentos, trajes y muebles.
