Este es el eje de Haridwar. Ha conseguido su nombre Har ki Pauri ya que el Dios hindú Hari descendió a este sitio. Las vislumbres de Ma Ganga tiene significado único por aquí. Los hindúes creen que este Ghat es el más sagrado de todos los Ghats. También tiene fama como Brahmkund. Como significa su nombre, se cree que el Dios hindú Brahma descendió en este sitio y desde entonces este sitio se conoce como Brahmkund. Es este mismo Brahmkund donde cada hindú quiere meterse por lo menos una vez en su vida para poder reservar un sitio en paraíso. Har-ki-Pauri también es el sitio de un rito memorable cada tarde. Después de la puesta del sol, delante de miles de devotos, se celebra Aarti.
