Description:
Originalmente construido por el Raja Gulchand y más tarde reforzado por Ala-ud-din Bahman, el fuerte tiene grandes edificios, mezquitas, templos, caballerizas, almacenes de armas, cañones, 15 torres, 26 escopetas y muchos bonitos patios. Lo mejor del gran fuerte es el Jumma Masjid con 38,000 pies cuad. Con sus cúpulas elegantes y columnas arcadas que parecen como la gran mezquita de Córdoba en España. Las ruinas del Fuerte Gulbarga se le transportan al pasado glorioso de Karnataka, cuando cayeron los reinos y otros surgieron de las cenizas de éstos. La tumba Sultan Hasan, la tumba de Ghias-ud-din, el fino mausoleo de Feroze Shah y su familia, el Haft-Gumbaz en las afueras de la ciudad y las muchas elegantes mezquitas de Gulbarga también merecen visitar.
