Ghoom, el último pueblo en la frontera Indo-Nepal y la estación ferrocarril más alta en el mundo, situado a 2,257 metros. Con acceso fácil Ghoom es el sitio de un Monasterio tibetano budista fundado en 1875 por Lama Sherab Gyantso para la Secta Yellow de los budistas. El monasterio tiene una estatua de 4.8 metros del Maitreya Buda y además tiene imágenes de los discípulos de Buda, Chenrezi y Chongapa. El evangelio budista tibetano, Kangyur, ha sido preservado aquí con todos sus 108 volúmenes. Este monasterio tiene renombre por sus celebraciones del Año Nuevo Tibetano durante febrero-marzo, cuando los monjes ponen las banderas de rezar en la tradición tibetana e interpretan bailes religiosos y folk. La Ghoom Rock, ofrece una magnífica vista y es el sitio más popular turístico.
