Cada año en el día de cumpleaños de Gandhiji el 2º de octubre, los rayos del sol caen en el sitio exacto donde se exponía la urna antes de su inmersión. Parece como un templo de Orissa. Al lado del Templo Kumari Amman, este memorial único preservaba las cenizas del Mahatma hasta que eran inmersadas en el mar. Está abierto diariamente desde 7 am hasta 12.30 pm y de 3 hasta 7 pm.
