Situado en el río Betwa, este pequeño pueblo tiene fama por el templo Dashavatara y el templo Jainista. El templo Dashavatara es dedicado al Señor Vishnu y sus 10 formas espirituales. El templo pertenece al período Gupta y es el primero de su tipo en la parte norteña de la India.
Los templos jainistas en el pueblo son muy bonitos y representan las escenas de la mitología jainista.
Los otros sitios importantes de excursión cerca de Jhansi son Mahoba y el Kalinjar. Mahoba siendo la capital de los Chandelas tiene muchos bonitos templos. Kalinjar también tiene un masivo fuerte para visitar.
