Bekal Fuerte

Uno de los mejores preservados y los más grandes fuertes del estado, el fuerte Bekal, es uno de los más importantes monumentos de Kasargod. Se supone que era construido por Sivappa Naik de la dinastía Ikkeri en el tarde siglo 17, era primero controlado por Hyder Ali y luego por los ingleses.
Este bien preservado fuerte tiene una impresionante torre de observación junto con muchos túneles subterráneos y bastiones de mar. Esta impresionante estructura está construida en un recinto de 35 acres que gradualmente llega hasta al mar, ofreciendo así magníficas vistas del vasto océano. El antiguo Bekal Fuerte de 300 años tiene también importancia arqueológica por su larga y rica historia.
