Adhai Din Ka Jhonpara

Description:
La mezquita que se supone fue construida al destruir un colegio sánscrito por Mohhammed Ghauri en el siglo 12, es un ejemplar único de estilo arquitectónico indo-islámico. Todavía conserva las ruinas del anterior templo/ colegio sánscrito. Se ha puesto tres columnas uno sobre el otro para dar una impresión de altura de la cual ninguna columna es igual. La sala de columnas es 61 mtrs. larga y sus 124 columnas dan soporte a las 10 cúpulas. Se puede ver una arcada de siete arcos, que está finamente tallada con las inscripciones Kufi y Jughra del sagrado Corán.
